ABOUT NEAL BARKER

Highly experienced Advisor and Consultant supporting some of the world\'s largest organisations and financiers, to help deliver sustainable outcomes within their businesses, investments and projects.Over the last 30 years I’ve supported some of the world’s largest corporations, alongside financiers and investors. My work has included helping clients to identify and manage the full range of ESG issues, whether at project, business, corporate or fund / portfolio level. My focus skill set includes ESG strategy and implementation support, EHS compliance and management, including highly technical industrial and energy projects, International Environmental and Social Auditing and Impact Assessments (ESIA), as well as supporting our clients on the evolving Sustainable Finance drivers, such as TCFD, SFDR and Taxonomy assessments, implementing strategies aligned with corporate guidelines ranging from PRI through to SASB standards, with full inclusion of technical standards such as SBTI alignment for carbon and climate strategies. My international experience comprises several hundred EHS and Social, ESG and Sustainability projects in over 40 countries across Europe, Africa and Asia and in multiple sectors. I have a strong record of undertaking corporate and project level assessments against international ESG standards such as the IFC or the \'Equator Principles\', including full ESIA projects. I have also held a visiting Lectureship at the University of Manchester since teaching on their Environmental Masters Programmes. I’m a member of the IEMA Environmental Auditing Steering Group for the UK, and also a founding member of the ISEP (then IEMA) Global Environmental and Social Assessment (GESA) Steering Group and of the ISEP Sustainable Finance Working Group.
