I predominately treat gastrointestinal malignancies including colorectal, esophagogastric, and pancreatic cancers.I graduated from the University of South Florida with my MD, where I also acquired my Bachelor\'s degree in Microbiology with Honors. I then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Duke University prior to joining faculty. I conduct laboratory and translational research on immunotherapy, immune evasion and metastasis in colorectal cancers using mouse models and human studies.

I oversee laboratory research in immuno-oncology using mouse models of colorectal cancer which resemble human disease. I also conduct clinical and translation research with early immunotherapy agents in colorectal, esophagogastric, and pancreatic cancers. My focus is on improving our understanding of how gastrointestinal cancers evade the immune system during metastatic spread with a goal of developing more effective immunotherapies tailored to specific patients.
