Optimism and determination in pursuit of well-selected objectivesNicolas Daval is Quobly\'s Chief Engineering officer. Honored to be chosen by the startup’s pioneering founders to take on this strategic role, Nicolas came to Quobly to help scale up a technology he finds particularly exciting—quantum. He brings with him substantial experience leading teams of high-level engineers.With more than 20 years behind him at semiconductor giant Soitec, Nicolas is no stranger to growth. However, this is his first experience with a startup. The opportunity to help build an efficient, effective team where everyone feels they can contribute is a new challenge he is happy to take on, and one he feels will be decisive to Quobly’s success. This applies not only to Quobly’s employees, but also to its manufacturing partners—also within Nicolas’ scope of responsibility.If there is one thing that Nicolas has learned during his career in the semiconductor industry—he was part of the team that brought FD-SOI to the market—it is the importance of placing the customer at the center of any strategy. But he also knows that it is vital to trust data and scientific results as the one true north. His experiences helping transform Soitec’s fabs to produce the then-revolutionary wafers will undoubtedly come in handy as Quobly continues to scale up its technology.Another valued commodity Nicolas is finding at Quobly is flexibility.
