About Nolan Burke

My name is Nolan Burke, and I am a senior at Fordham University\'s Gabelli School of Business. I currently am pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in Applied Accounting and Finance. I grew up in Darien, CT and I graduated Darien High School in 2021. While at Darien High School I varsitied in football, basketball and rugby. Through these sports I learned the importance working as a team and how to be a leader in a group of people. That leadership was recognized when I was presented with the Jim Mulhearn 12th man award which is presented to the teammate who displays consistent enthusiasm, character, and leadership throughout the season. Previously, I have worked at Wee Burn Country Club in Darien, CT as a busser. Throughout my summer there my responsibilities included prepping tables for meals, preparing appetizers, and clearing dishes. While at Wee Burn I learned proper customer service, how to have a strong work ethic and how to effectively manage my time. This summer I plan on working at Camp Tecumseh in Moultonbourough, NH as a camp counselor. While there I will strive to give back to a place that was a critical part of my growth in character by being the best counselor to a group of boys I can be. I aspire to work in the audit and taxation industry after completing my degree, as well as working in this field through internships prior to graduation.Currently as a full-time student, I am working towards broadening my knowledge of the business world in order to contribute to a more sustainable future.
