ABOUT MEICHENG ZHU
I am a patent attorney advising biotechnology, pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, and medical device companies on how to protect and commercialize innovation. My work focuses on developing patent strategies that support business growth and successful market entry. I work closely with scientists, founders, and business leaders to translate innovative ideas into practical, actionable intellectual property strategies. My practice includes patent strategy, global intellectual property protection, and guiding clients through the full lifecycle of innovation. Before entering private practice, I spent about a decade as a research chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, where I contributed to drug discovery and am a co-inventor on 10 patents. My experience as both a scientist and an attorney allows me to bridge the gap between innovation and legal strategy, helping clients move new technologies from concept to commercialization. As a native Chinese speaker, I also advise Chinese and multinational companies on U.S. patent matters, working across cultures and legal systems to efficiently secure and manage intellectual property rights. If you are developing a new product or thinking through patent strategy, I’m always open to connecting and collaborating.
