ABOUT NAYREE HAKOBIAN

As a third year high school educator, my goal in the classroom is to instill in my students a passion for science, to teach them to be lifelong learners, and equip them with the confidence to think critically and problem solve. I’ve had experience in teaching Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Calculus at Rose and Alex Pilibos, and I value the work I do to shape young lives. I earned my B.S. in Chemistry and Honors Humanities from Azusa Pacific University. During my undergraduate years, I participated in cutting-edge research at Caltech and Azusa Pacific University and have experience with Matlab programming language to simulate rotations of F1-ATPase, a rotary motor enzyme. With experience in a variety of instrumentation methods including mass spectrometry, UV-Visible spectrophotometry, and infrared and NMR spectroscopy, I can adapt to, learn, and apply new material and methods quickly and efficiently.
