I focus on new approaches to human thinking and learning with computers that continue the work of Dr. Seymour Papert. I seek a lead role involving research and play that draws on my experience as a classroom teacher for 25+ years.My specialties: Critical Theory, Technology, Constructivism, Constructionism, EdTech, Creativity, Games, Video Games, Interdisciplinary Design, Research, Critical Thinking, and Writing.ACHIEVEMENTS• Teaching for 25+ years blending academics with EdTech in public and private schools• Earned Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on educational technology• Leveraged grant money to implement change and integrate educational technology• Composed a dissertation on a new Unified Computer Learning Theory: Critical Techno Constructivism• Graduated Y Combinator Startup School with innovative concept for technology tool to change teacher and student relationships to learning• Wrote an academic journal article for the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate on the topic of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Doctoral Research and Writing (2025)• Invited to serve as curriculum consultant for California statewide conference on AI in English Language Arts classrooms (2024)• Wrote chapters for three books: Game-Based Learning Across the Disciplines; Artificial Intelligence, Human Agency, and the Educational Leader; Twenty Things To Do With A Computer, Forward 50• Elected as Program Chair of American Educational Research Association (AERA) special interest group focused on Constructivist Theory, Research, and Practice (2021)• Selected to present research on artificial intelligence, educational technology, best practices, curriculum, student voice, and digital learning environments: Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT); Loyola Marymount University (LMU); CS First Lagos, Nigeria; California Teachers Summit; Kappa Delta Pi (KDP); Hawaii University; AHFE; Asilomar Curriculum Committee• Selected for Microsoft’s Minecraft Global Mentor Team (2017) as well as Minecraft Community Moderator – and still active to this day• Pioneered the first Internet-only core academic classroom in Santa Monica, CA• Developed new University of California approved courses and programs in both English Language Arts and Computer Science• Scored in top 2% nationwide Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Writing Section (2016)
