   I am a multidisciplinary designer with an education in textile design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology and Masters from NMIMS, Mumbai in Business management. Social action without education is a weak expression of pure energy. When we go into action and confront our adversaries, we must be as armed with knowledge. The scope and complexity of social action must be commensurate with the human resources available in a village or neighbourhood to carry it forward. I find myself very fortunate to be starting in the position of a joint secretary in Poorvanchal Gramin Vikas Santhan (PGVS) who will oversee Administration and Programme Management being the first female leader in past eleven years joining hands in bringing sustainable and long term change at grassroot levels, aligning with the purpose and vision of the NGO mapping of power, creating synergy, unleashing the civilian power, at the nexus of human rights and development, generating the governance space and developing relationships and fostering them to bring about organic change. Participating in different discourses at all levels contributed a lot about my understanding of true social action. I look forward to collaborate the ideas of design with Social work and explore the possibilities with other partner Organisations.
