WORK HISTORY
Private Banking Intern @Julius Baer
Dubai, AE
During my time at Julius Baer, I participated in the firm’s Summer Finternship Programme, designed to provide next-generation talent with an immersive introduction to private banking and wealth management.Over the course of three weeks, I explored a broad range of financial concepts through interactive workshops, case simulations, and office visits, including sessions led by Franklin Templeton and Bloomberg. Key topics included portfolio construction and asset allocation, Islamic vs. traditional financing, sustainable investing, equities and structured products, risk management, and client advisory.A highlight of the experience was the capstone portfolio design and advisory project, where I built a tailored investment strategy based on client profiles and risk appetites, integrating asset class diversification, structured notes, and ESG considerations. I presented the final portfolio to a panel of senior bankers and received in-depth feedback on both my financial rationale and presentation delivery. In parallel, I delivered individual and group presentations, collaborated cross-functionally on consulting simulations that spanned HR, marketing, and investment strategy, and received mentorship from professionals across the firm. What stood out most was the access to industry experts at every level, who offered invaluable insights into building long-term, trust-based client relationships in a global wealth management setting. The program deepened my interest in the private wealth sector and strengthened my foundation in financial fluency, advisory thinking, and client relationship management. I concluded the experience by joining Julius Baer’s Young Partners network, which further engaged me with the firm’s mission and long-term vision.
