Being part of a design team, have implemented and own basic building blocks of L2 forwarding features in a Next-Gen Cisco switching platform. Designed, implemented and own end to end Local SPAN, ERSPAN on GRE (ongoing)feature. Designed Implemented and own Broadcast Storm control feature. Working on SDA LISP and EVPN based VXLAN for Layer 2 and Layer 3 tunnels. Designed Implemented and own QinQ, Selective QinQ and Vlan Translation features with Control protocols like L2PT. Worked on enabling various control protocols like STP (MST, PVST, Rapid-PVST), CDP, LLDP, VTP, DTP etc. Have worked on punt and Inject infrastructure on Cisco switching platform. Currently working on implementing end to end VXLAN L2/L3 (multi-subnet) tunnels for SDA/LISP and EVPN/BGP control plane. Worked on and Developed Automation suite in python for UT and daily regression runs of the above implemented features. Worked with Technical Marketing team to translate Business Requirements into technical implementation to provide forwarding features from CLI to device driver on Cisco switching platform.
