WORK HISTORY
Application Developer V @Bank of America
New York, NY, US
Led the modernization of a 30+ year legacy PnL application used for commodities, FX, and financial data classification and adjustments, serving as a downstream data source for multiple internal systems. Took ownership of stabilizing a large React 17 codebase by resolving widespread console errors and technical debt, significantly improving reliability and developer confidence. Established modern frontend standards by introducing ESLint, Prettier, and Husky, enforcing consistent code quality and PR discipline across the team. Single-handedly migrated the core layout system from Golden Layout to FlexLayout, unblocking functional components and enabling future React and library upgrades. Developed new features and led the consolidation of a separate application into the main platform, reducing duplication and simplifying user workflows. Mentored junior engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and best practices in React and frontend maintainability. Authored and drove a frontend modernization roadmap, currently executing upgrades to React 18 and Material UI, improving long-term scalability and maintainability. Maintained and enhanced a complex, spreadsheet-like financial UI with React, JavaScript, Jest, and React Testing Library, supporting high-precision accounting workflows.
