Currently, a part of the \"MARCH: Menstruation and Anemia Research\" team. We are investigating Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB) and are exploring potential to decrease the amount of AUB related anemia in Black and Hispanic women using multi-level community-based participatory research (CBPR) derived interventions in collaboration with scientific researchers, community leaders, community members, and other stakeholders.I am also an assistant on the PEACE Study (Partnering for Equity an Academic and Community Alliance to Eliminate Disparities throughout the Fibroid Experience) where I conducted interviews with participants who have fibroids as well as moving into the provider aspect of the interviews soon. This allows me to have direct patient interaction and hear stories about their long-term health. I also am a part of the RSRSR Study (Reproductive Subjects Registry and Sample Repository) through which I am able to have hands-on experience in the Operation Room with acclaimed surgeons. I am able to receive organs to cure and store in the bank along with patient history in order to support future research in the OB/GYN field. This allows me to shadow surgeries, understand how it feels to be a part of a surgical team, and getting used to working in an OR setting.
