ABOUT NAVJIT SANGHA

I graduated in December 2013 in the accounting concentration of the BBA degree program at Vancouver Island University. I am currently working at Big Chip as an Accountant at the Surrey office, while working on my CPA courses. I am also currently a member of the Rotaract club of Surrey-Newton and Rotary club of Surrey-Newton. I am actively helping to put on and raise funds for local and international charities and causes. I have worked part-time throughout the time I attended university. I have volunteer background of helping out at Nanaimo Regional Hospital as a Candy Striper as well as volunteering with Salvation Army over the holidays. I also had joined the Rotaract Club of Nanaimo to help give back to the community and in developing countries. I actively participated on campus in organizing and managing student association, events and workshops such as Toastmasters On The Hill, BEAN Counters, Business Students Association and Vancouver Island Leadership Conference. The positions I have had in the past are Co-Chair, Treasurer, Sergeant-at-arms, VP Membership, VP Workshop, and Student Union Liaison.After graduating, I worked part-time at A. W. Vandermeer & Associates CGA as an Accounting Clerk entering the tax receipts in Profile. I worked full-time at InsureBC as a Branch Accountant managing the full cycle accounting for 4 branches. I have also worked as the Corporate Accountant at the head office of Premium Brands where I handled the accounts payables and the inter company transfers.
