ABOUT NAVINA BARTLETT
I\'m usually out & about serving award-winning Southern Indian cuisine for corporate events, universities, weddings, food festivals and private parties. My team & I create simply delicious Indian food and sell it to loyal customers at food festivals, office lunches, markets & cool private events. My back story After moving to the fabulously underestimated city of Bristol a few years ago, I took a foray into the event industry. This led me to organising key events in Bristol to promote community cohesion and showcasing cultural diversity. Influences from studying media and cultural studies and my wide professional network allowed me to engage with commercial businesses, social enterprises and policy makers. This took me on a journey to set up the StrEAT Food Collective - bringing the BEST street food vendors together & hosting night markets - the kind you\'d find in India or in Thailand - families hanging out eating, a bit of music and a wonderful atmosphere. My marketing expertise lies in digital strategy, web design and build, social media, direct marketing, on and offline PR and advertising. And I\'m particularly obsessive about using these skills & about food and wine and I love Bristol life, especially the people. I\'m also an experienced cookery teacher and \'on-stage demonstrator\'(this terms sounds better with an American accent), having worked at Foodies Festival amongst others. Plus I\'ve been asked to be a food commentator - a voice for the industry & I talk about food manufacturing, women in business and how to start a sustainable food company. I don\'t have much spare time as I am mother to one teen, two kids, one dog & a cat, but when I do I love to eat somewhere delicious with my lovely partner Will. Also I\'m a super fussy coffee geek & a Great Taste Judge specialising in chillies of course :)
