I am a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, currently working under the guidance of Dr. Surajit Some. My research focuses on sustainable materials chemistry, particularly in the development of green, scalable approaches for polymer degradation and upcycling. I specialize in using deep eutectic solvents (DES) to convert polymeric waste into high-value functional materials such as flame retardants and sensing agents. With a strong foundation in polymer science, coordination chemistry, and analytical techniques (FTIR, SEM, TGA, etc.), I am committed to addressing real-world challenges in sustainability and circular materials. I have presented my work at national conferences and was recently awarded 2nd place in a poster presentation at the International Convention of Colourants. Current Focus: • Polymer depolymerization using green solvents • Synthesis of flame-retardant coatings for textiles and wood • Thermal and morphological analysis of functionalized materials • Transitioning lab-scale innovations to practical applications Looking Ahead: I am actively seeking international collaborations with research groups working in similar areas of green chemistry, polymer depolymerization, and sustainable materials development. I aim to contribute to impactful, interdisciplinary projects that bridge fundamental research and real-world applications.
