Designed and implemented a cloud-native fraud detection and risk identification platform for insurers, deployed on AWS & Azure with Docker using Python, FastAPI, and Django.• Integrated with CV/document digitization APIs and built scalable pipelines for document classificationand data extraction, ensuring smooth data flow, high throughput, and reliability for large volumes of insurance claims.• Applied business rules and validation logic on extracted claim data to detect discrepancies, identify risk factors, and flag potential fraud, while also generating bill summaries to support faster and more accurate claim processing.• Integrated authentication and authorisation modules to enforce secure access control and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.• Designed and developed an API subscription platform where users could sign up, subscribe, andconsume 50+ modular APIs covering document digitization (PAN, Aadhaar, medical, financial), ICDcode relevance, and healthcare/insurance services.• Built core modules for authentication, user ownership, access control, free-hit allocation, walletbalance deduction, eligibility checks, and usage tracking, ensuring secure and reliable pay-to-use API consumption.• Integrated 50+ standalone microservices behind the platform, enabling asynchronous requesthandling, where external API calls were routed to respective backend microservices without disruptinguser flow.• Implemented event-driven architecture with Kafka, introducing a reserve-confirm wallet deductionworkflow: amounts were first reserved on job creation and only after job success, whilefailures automatically released reserved funds.• Enhanced system reliability and scalability through distributed processing, usage count updation, andmonitoring pipelines, supporting high-throughput API calls for enterprise clients.Tech stack: Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask), Java, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
