About Naveen Murthy
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan (expected graduation in Dec 2023). I\'m passionate about developing fast and efficient algorithms for large-scale computational imaging problems. My research interests include: mathematical optimization for signal/image processing, and solving inverse problems with machine learning techniques. During my PhD, I have developed memory-efficient and distributed algorithms for sparse-view helical X-ray CT image reconstruction, which can reduce radiation exposure and scanning time for patients. I have also worked on a quantitative MRI problem in brain imaging, where I used machine learning techniques to estimate myelin water exchange in white matter, which can provide valuable insights into neurological disorders. Additionally, I have developed open-source tools for acquisition and reconstruction of 3D stack-of-spirals MRI, which can enable fast and robust imaging of dynamic processes.
