About Naveen Balakrishna
I am currently working as an Advance Lead Engineer in the Aero Thermal Sciences team at GE Aerospace. Previously I worked as a Software Development Engineer in the Process Engineering team at SankhyaSutra Labs Limited, a company developing Multiphysics Computational Fluid Dynamics software based on the Lattice Boltzmann Method. I have obtained a PhD from India Institute of Science. During my PhD, I worked on the last stages of transition in round jets, where I investigated the instability and transition in vortex rings and examined the evolution of hairpin vortices and vortex reconnection phenomenon.I am an enthusiastic fluid dynamist and numerical modeler intersted in studying flow physics occurring in various natural and man-made processes using high performance computer simulations.
