As a Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant for a teaching agency, I support children across Reception, Primary, and SEN settings by assisting with learning activities, classroom routines, and personalised support. ABOUT NAVDEEP KAUR
I am a final year student pursuing BA Early Years and Childhood Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, with practical experience in supporting children and young people in both educational and community environments. Through my work with City Year as a secondary school mentor, I have developed strong skills in relationship building, communication, and providing tailored support to learners with diverse needs. My volunteering in community initiatives, including foodbank work, has strengthened my understanding of social inequality and the importance of accessible and compassionate support services.My degree has also reinforced my interest in global education, and I aim to pursue a career in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, particularly within international settings and adult learning. I am committed to continuous professional development and I am currently focusing on building confidence, creativity, assertiveness, and intercultural communication in order to support learners effectively.
