ABOUT NADEZDA AVANESSOVA
Wind energy expert specialising in Operations & Maintenance (O&M), wind resource assessment and developing purpose-built Python tools. Strongly interested in turbine failure modes and their frequencies. In 2024 I have successfully defended my EngD viva on the topic of O&M after four years of research. Although O&M is my main expertise I also enjoy learning new things. My recent interest has been cable topology design optimisation. As part of my PhD program, I have completed energy economics, marine science and resource assessment courses. I enjoy helping the community around me. For two years now I have been a volunteer at the local community centre helping the community garden to refurbish the green spaces, plant flowers and build any necessary support and decorative structures.
