I led one of Canada\'s largest hackathons - a team divided into engineering, finance, corporate outreach, logistics, design, and marketing departments. This responsibility entailed managing a hackathon in 2022, with an executive team of 30, and with 825 registrants, 750 attendees, 14 sponsors, and $26K+ in prizes. The 2024 hackathon will be an in-person hackathon, being worked on by 45 executives with an expected attendance of 300-600 and an estimated total budget of $25K -$30K.

ABOUT NAUSHER RAO
i\'ve been programming since i was 8 years old, and recently graduated with a degree in cs + applied maths from laurier. i\'ve recently pivoted to being a full-time founder and ceo after spending my entire undergrad founding and leading some of the largest tech-focused student orgs in canada! i started off programming text-based adventure games in batch, and then progressed to learning java as my first proper programming language - yes it was because of minecraft. right after, i started my freelance software dev career around when i was 10 years old (don\'t ask how i made a Paypal account at that age ) 🤔 my main philosophy is trying to make it easy for others, specifically students, to find opportunities and provide the tools necessary for them to pay it forward. i\'ve founded, revamped, and run various organizations throughout my time as an undergrad to allow my university and national community to thrive within the tech sphere. on the more technical side, i absolutely LOVE game development and have enjoyed it since i first started creating minecraft plugins! my experiences are super varied, and i have experience with nearly all disciplines in software engineering.
