Description: This project aims to enhance the network monitoring capabilities of Meraki\'s cloud-based management platform. The focus is on improving real-time data visualization, anomaly detection, and alert generation for network administrators.Responsibilities: Design and implement Spring Boot microservices for data ingestion, processing, alerting, and API gateway functionality. Ensure modularity and scalability of backend functionalities through the microservices architecture. Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts and data exchange formats for seamless integration between the ReactJS frontend and the Java/Spring backend. Implement a Data Ingestion Service to receive real-time network data streams from Meraki devices via Apache Kafka. Persist relevant data from Kafka messages into MongoDB using Hibernate and Spring Data JPA. Develop a Data Processing Service to analyze historical network data in MongoDB, calculate key metrics, and identify trends. Utilize a custom anomaly detection engine (Python with scikit-learn) within the Data Processing Service to identify unusual network behavior patterns. Optimize database queries and data processing workflows for efficient performance and resource utilization. Design and implement secure RESTful APIs within backend microservices for data access and manipulation by the ReactJS frontend. Integrate Spring Security to enforce authentication and authorization for secure API access, defining user roles and permissions. Implement API documentation using tools like Swagger for improved developer experience and discoverability. Develop an Alerting Service within a microservice to generate real-time alerts based on detected anomalies. Implement notification channels (email, SMS, push notifications) within the Alerting Service to inform network administrators with configurable alert thresholds.
