About Nate Nguyen

Growing up, I was an avid player of the iconic first-person shooter game, Counter-Strike, along with its many versions. I journeyed through the original Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike Source, Counter-Strike Global, and now Counter-Strike 2. What stands out in my gaming experience is how, in one version, I would creatively ran scripts, input code in the console, and integrate custom skin files into the game (ah yes, the good ol\' days). These actions weren\'t just for fun; they significantly enhanced my gaming experience and gave me a competitive edge. It was through these experiences that I discovered my deep-seated passion for software engineering.My journey didn\'t stop at gaming. Recently, I decided to take my coding interest to the next level by enrolling in a challenging 10-month coding bootcamp at Springboard. This bootcamp wasn\'t just about learning the basics; it was an immersive dive into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with practical applications using GitHub. It was a hands-on experience where I applied what I learned in practical scenarios, developing websites, crafting interactive user interfaces, and collaborating on code repositories. This journey has been a testament to how my childhood interests in gaming have evolved into a serious pursuit in the world of software engineering.
