About Nathan McNamara
My passion is for creation. I love systems and narratives, and video games combine the creation of both. Games allow us to experience media today in a way unlike any other, letting us interact with the fiction and with each other, and have authorship of our own experiences.I specialize in system design, tech design, and narrative/worldbuilding. Early on I studied these on both a personal and academic level. I have experience in the development of small and large projects, for console, handheld, and PC. I am enthusiastic about depth-focused game design, and creating deliberate, sustainable immersion, paired with well-balanced challenge-and-reward cycles.
