   As a Manufacturing Engineer at a high-volume injection molding facility with 71 machines, I work closely with our Operations Manager, Tool Room, Production, and Maintenance teams to drive performance, minimize downtime, and support a culture of continuous improvement.My role bridges hands-on engineering support with strategic process optimization. I lead efforts in developing and updating work instructions, executing 5S improvements across legacy and new processes, and using Six Sigma methodologies to enhance second operations and sonic welding. I also maintain updated warehouse layouts and documentation to support ISO 9001 audits. • Partner with the Tool Room to create custom fixtures to support production. • Support the Production team through process documentation, troubleshooting, and technical guidance. • Work closely with Maintenance to coordinate preventative maintenance plans that reduce unplanned machine downtime. • Develop, revise, and maintain detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures. • Lead 5S initiatives across departments, focusing on sustaining improvements in both new and legacy processes. • Maintain and update warehouse maps and visual management tools in preparation for ISO 9001 audits. • Use Siemens NX to assist in tooling layouts and Visio for organizational and process mapping. • Apply Six Sigma methodology to analyze and improve processes, especially for second operations and sonic welding. • Assist in training operators and technicians on revised procedures and new technologies.
