ABOUT NATHANIEL LAKE
My mission is to add value to every encounter. I have 35 years of experience in the Human Resource and Organizational Development Field. While my primary career path has been in the public sector, I have been able to apply my extensive skills in a number of private sector organizations through a number of volunteer and civic activities. My vast experience and contributions have included a number of assignments and activities focused on diversity and inclusion programs, employee recruiting and hiring, and labor/management relations. I was an early adopter and promoter of quality management concepts and practices including business process reengineering, process improvement, and organizational improvement and assessment using the Malcolm Baldrige methodology and criteria. I was entrusted with the Project lead role in the establishment of a variety of key programs including customer service initiatives, performance excellence standards, diversity and inclusion initiatives, Lean process improvement, total quality management, a One Stop Business Portal, and numerous restructuring and consolidation efforts. In addition to my professional experience, I am a former college athlete, and I have paid forward my experiences on the court by coaching youth and adult basketball and youth soccer. My coaching extends beyond sports fundamentals and strategies as I also include lessons on values, teamwork, and individual contributions/expectations/responsibility. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Economics from Spring Arbor University. I retired from state government and currently a founding partner in Brannon, LLC, an Organizational and Leadership Development consulting firm and coach, speaker, trainer and teacher for the John C. Maxwell Leadership Founders team.
