Led the transformation of URI, a non-profit organization that since 1980 has been providing comprehensive health and human services throughout NYC to victims of domestic violence, homeless families, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Steered the agency through the successful 2018 merger with CADV to increase URI’s scope and scale, resulting in URI’s position as the largest provider in the US of domestic violence shelter services. Reversed 5 consecutive years of losses to consistent year over year growth, quintupling the annual budget from $17 million to nearly $100 million, while ensuring revenue met and/or exceeded expenses.    Led the transformation and turnaround of URI, a non-profit organization that since 1980 has been providing comprehensive health and human services throughout New York City to victims of domestic violence, homeless families and persons with disabilities. Instituted a sound new strategic direction, focusing on service excellence, staff opportunity, programmatic innovation, and mission impact in NYC and beyond. Steered the agency through the 2018 merger with CADV to increase URI scope and scale, resulting in URI’s position as the largest provider in the US of domestic violence residential services. Tapped for leadership roles in numerous councils and organizations, including: the Board of the Human Services Council; the special COVID-19 domestic violence task force of the New York State Council on Women and Girls; the COVID-19 Response Work Group of the New York City Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV); the Fatality Review Committee of the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence; and the New York City Mayor’s Nonprofits and Social Services Advisory Council. Led the New York City Coalition of Domestic Violence Residential Providers as co-chair for over ten years, and in 2019 was named to the New York City and State “Nonprofit Power 100” list.
