ABOUT NATHANIEL ALBRIGHT
I am an infectious diseases nurse practitioner and postdoctoral scholar dedicated to reducing the innovation-to-implementation gap in HIV and STI care. With nearly a decade of nursing experience spanning critical care, public health, and infectious diseases, my work is grounded in advancing health equity for vulnerable populations. My research applies implementation science and mixed methods to understand barriers and facilitators of biomedical HIV/STI prevention, with particular attention to the clinician–client dynamic. Supported by a competitive NRSA F31 Predoctoral Fellowship and multiple national research awards, my dissertation identified converging and diverging priorities between clinicians and patients in primary care to inform strategies that improve prevention uptake and sustainability. My long-term goal is to advance nurse-led, equity-focused implementation approaches that expand access to HIV/STI prevention and treatment across diverse healthcare settings.
