ABOUT NATHAN FLORENCE

Reps don\'t lose deals because of the competition. Most of the time, they lose because they\'re forgotten.Deals go quiet, not because a prospect chose someone else, but because the rep stopped being relevant. Because the story they told wasn\'t compelling enough to be retold in rooms they weren\'t in.That\'s where deals actually die.Product knowledge matters. Process matters. But they\'re the floor, not the ceiling. The reps who consistently win — in complex deals, at senior levels, against tough competition — have something beyond knowledge and process. They have a point of view. And the ability to communicate it through a story relevant enough to stick in the meeting, after the meeting, and in every room they\'re not in.That belief has been shaped by 20+ years in sales and sales training. I\'ve sold across every segment — public sector, SMB, mid-market, and enterprise. I\'ve trained thousands of reps, leaders, and solution consultants. I\'ve coached and trained trainers. I\'ve keynoted and emceed events with or more attendees. And I\'ve built a career around understanding exactly what separates the reps who are remembered from the ones who aren\'t.It\'s never the pitch. It\'s never the deck.It\'s always the story, and whether it was built on a genuine understanding of the customer\'s world. In an AI-augmented world, that truth matters more than ever. The reps who win won\'t be the ones who automate the most. They\'ll be the ones who connect the deepest.I write about sales, storytelling, and the frameworks that connect them. I\'m also putting the finishing touches on a book that brings this thinking together in a way I can\'t wait to share. If this resonates — follow me or connect. I\'d love to be in conversation with people thinking about these same problems.There\'s more coming.
