ABOUT NATHAN WALSH
A trusted enterprise advisor driving workforce transformation and people enablement and performance at scale by connecting people, purpose, and organisational capability.I operate at the intersection of organisational psychology, workforce strategy and enterprise transformation, supporting senior leaders to operationalise strategy by enabling the design and delivery of operating models through enterprise capability systems, governance mechanisms and cultural conditions within complex, regulated environments by aligning people, structures, and behaviours.I am at the final stage of the Certified Business Psychologist (UK) designation (Association for Business Psychology). My practice is evidence-informed, ethically grounded, and non-clinical. I am not registered or licensed as a psychologist under Ontario’s Psychology Act (1991) and do not provide diagnostic or therapeutic services. My professional focus spans national and enterprise contexts within professional services and financial services, where I have led cross-functional initiatives across workforce capability, digital enablement, learning ecosystems and change in support of organisational performance. I am particularly interested in how congruence among strategy, culture, ethics and organisational mediators (e.g, structures, policies, practices) shapes both human development and enterprise outcomes.Current areas of focus include:• Workforce transformation and the people, capability, and governance enablers of future-state operating models• Organisational congruence as a condition for sustainable performance and renewal• Change management grounded in systems thinking and behavioural scienceMy approach integrates business psychology as both an interpretive and an interventionist discipline, drawing on behavioural and learning sciences, systems theory and ethical inquiry, alongside leading practices in organisational and management science. Select achievements include:• Strategic workforce and capability advisory supporting a multi-year digital transformation in a large Crown corporation (insurance sector)• Leading enterprise-wide change management initiatives, engaging senior leaders within regulated financial services environments• Architecting a technology-enabled talent development programme delivered 3× faster and at 6× lower cost than industry benchmarks, resulting in a 40% improvement in performance outcomes• Leading a qualitative investigation into implicit mediators of human capital development in high-impact Canadian private-sector organisationsViews and errors are my own.
