Adhere to and follow Broken Arrow Public Schools Policies and Regulations and any procedures and/or policies in conjunction with partnering law enforcement agencies. • Assist administration in the enforcement of school safety rules, regulations and policies; assist faculty and staff in resolving complaints as needed. • Attend and complete assigned in-service training programs and maintain CLEET certification. • Maintain a visible presence during scheduled duty time in areas assigned by administration and in areas with a heavy concentration of students. • Perform duties to enhance site security by daily securing exterior doors as required after the school day begins, supervising halls between classes in locations assigned by administrator, and monitoring the parking lot and front entrance when not involved in other security duties as assigned by administrator. • Patrol property on foot and/or vehicle; provide protective escorts; respond to calls for assistance. Implement district emergency action procedures when appropriate. • Serve as liaison between school officials and local law enforcement agencies when needed. • Document and file reports regarding safety and security issues as needed. Inspect parcels, packages and boxes when required. • Physically control combative students, employees, visitors and/or criminal suspects as needed. • Maintain confidentiality of students and staff. • Provide motorist assistance within constraints of regularly assigned duties and without jeopardizing the safety and security of the building or its inhabitants. • Maintain certification and mandatory professional development hours as mandated by the state and/or district. • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
