ABOUT NATHAN WALDING

As Projects Director at Edwards Diving Services (EDS), I bring over 20 years of marine and civil engineering experience, combined with a proven track record of commercial leadership. I lead a team of Project Managers and Engineers, delivering Marine Civils & Diving projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. I am dedicated to building trusted Client relationships, driving both new and repeat business, and delivering long-term value by ensuring our solutions are tailored to meet each Client’s needs and expectations.As a Chartered Civil Engineer with international experience across civil, marine, dam, and reservoir engineering, I offer a well-rounded perspective, having worked in consultancy, client-side, and contracting roles. I specialise in solving complex engineering challenges through innovative, sustainable solutions, while carefully managing risk and maintaining strong commercial performance.At EDS and in previous positions, I have led diverse, high-profile projects, including major contributions to reservoir engineering. I have been responsible for critical maintenance and engineering works, safeguarding the safety and long-term performance of key infrastructure assets.In addition, I am a Supervising Engineer appointed to the Supervising Engineers Panel under the Reservoirs Act 1975 by DEFRA. In this capacity, I oversee the supervision of large raised reservoirs, conducting inspections and providing assessments on any conditions or behaviours that may impact reservoir safety.
