ABOUT NATHAN STONE

I am an MA Public Policy Student at King\'s College London, and a First-Class BA Politics graduate from the University of Warwick. I am extremely passionate about policy, and hope to leverage my communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to create and deliver impactful change. I have a keen interest in planning and land use policy, regional and intergenerational inequality, and social mobility and economic rebalancing. Academically, I have undertaken detailed study on topics such as populism and issues of distributive justice. I am fascinated by issues that sit at the intersection of analytical political philosophy, politics, and economics, combining theoretical debates with practical policy analysis. I have hands-on experience in a thinktank, completing work experience with Bright Blue. I produced a comparative analysis on how adopting elements of the Japanese planning system could alleviate the UK housing crisis. I was also the Chairman of the Democracy Committee in the University of Warwick Student’s Union, playing a leading role in the working group on governance regeneration. I devised and then steered policy and amendments through Student Council.I also have experience in conducting research, having been a Student Researcher in the University of Warwick Social Mobility Student Research Hub, where I recommended changes to the university’s Contextual Offer policy based on the findings of a set of qualitative interviews that I conducted.Thank you for visiting my profile. I look forward to making new connections!
