I love agile. Not Scrum. Not XP. Not Lean. I think any of these are a good starting point, but that without tailoring process through ruthless continual improvement you are going to have waste. A team has to own its process to be great.Strong belief that value of a platform can only be measured by the value it brings to the customer. No customers == no point! Technology for its own sake is fun, but I save that for the weekend.The really fun problems are rarely purely technical, so I focus on people who are passionate and want to solve problems. I believe in building a team that is capable of adjusting to (almost!) anything that our clients or sales can throw at us. This means encouraging people to stretch and if sometimes we don\'t make it, lesson learned and let\'s try the next thing. I think a culture of perfection tends to be a culture of fear, and engineers don\'t tend to innovate when they\'re scared.In my previous life I spent a lot of time in the trenches developing webby apps in Perl, Java, and C#. Always pushing, and always learning.
