About Nathan Sidhu
Researcher with over 5 years of experience in chemical engineering and scientific research. I am especially interested in sustainability-based research. I have a strong background in chemical reaction engineering, including pyrolysis, reactor design, reaction kinetics, and catalysis. I have additional experience in gas separation technology, polymers, and fluid mechanics. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota where I am studying the intrinsic kinetics of polypropylene pyrolysis, with the overall aim of enabling a sustainable circular plastic economy. In this work, I have helped to develop a new Pulse-Heated Analysis of Solid Reactions (PHASR) reactor which is uniquely capable of studying the high-temperature, millisecond-scale reaction kinetics of polyolefin pyrolysis.
