ABOUT NATHAN ROURKE

A passionate and dedicated Test Leader with over 25 years of software testing experience (20 years as a contractor) covering the entire software development life cycle and experience of working with Waterfall, Agile and V-model methodologies in regulated environments.I have extensive software testing knowledge and a broad range of experience having held numerous testing roles in my career including; Test Capability Lead, Programme Test Manager, Test Manager, Defect Manager, Test Lead, Test Environment Manager, and Test Analyst, across different industries including finance, pharmaceutical, telecoms, travel, manufacturing, marketing, automotive and retail. I have a proven track record of developing and implementing Test Strategies to help improve quality and testing efficiencies. In addition, I have successfully built up and led and coached both on and offshore test teams. My experience in creating, documenting and implementing structured testing processes, multi-skilled test teams, and test tools has enabled me to deliver high-quality testing capabilities across various industries. My current role focuses on leading delivery for the software testing teams in our R&D IT portfolio across the globe. I also work on a number of continuous improvements and lead a number of key initiatives including our Artificial Intelligence (AI) testing strategy and our approach to Accessibility Testing for our enterprise wide software testing teams. Since November 2020, I have been proactively building up my knowledge and gaining expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and continue to do this as AI is evolving so rapidly. I was also part of the Responsible AI steering committee at AstraZeneca for 3 years 20••••24.
