About Nathan Power
I am a maritime professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry. My career focus has been the operation, repair, and construction of naval combatants and logistics ships. As a USCG licensed deck officer I have operated ocean going vessels including naval support vessels, merchant marine training vessels, and articulated tug and barges. I have taught navigation, watch standing, and other subjects at Maine Maritime Academy as an Adjunct Professor and training ship crew member. My work in shipyards includes logistics and inventory management, project management, maintenance dredging, waterside infrastructure construction and rehabilitation, ship’s husbandry and support, commercial diving operations, launching and operational testing of vessels, and docking and undocking vessels from floating dry docks.I hold degrees in Marine Transportation and Global Logistics & Maritime Management from Maine Maritime Academy, and a diploma in Naval Architecture from Lloyds Maritime Academy. I am a certified Maritime Port Manager by the IAMPE, a USCG licensed Master of Unlimited Tonnage (Oceans), and a NAVSEA certified FOS for Ship Transfer and Floating Drydocks.
