About Nathan Phillip
After realizing I was not going to be a doctor (I do not like blood) I decided to find another way to still work within the health field. After some research I landed in the Public Health field. I have worked in the public health field in different aspects since 2013. Working with a variety of agencies (non profit, government, technology, etc) I have had the ability to address health issues in communities from multiple lenses, while simultaneously influencing policy, and helping frame programs designed to provide equitable access to basic needs. When I\'m not working I am a very active person. Exercise and doing various activities such as art, cooking, and photography take up much of my free time. I truly believe that there is no way to completely divide personal and professional lives, so I try to embody my field of public health into my personal life. Like wise I bring an array of lived experiences with me to work that help me navigate the public health field with a unique and genuine scope. While I am very much a people person and love to meet new people and share stories, I also like to bridge the gap of technology and health care. This involves time to dive into new programs for research, data analysis, project management etc. I believe that balancing staying up to date on the newest technology and having open dialogue with people opens the door to new opportunists to bridge health and technology in new innovate and inclusive ways.
