About Nathan Miles

I’ve worked in IT at Carson-Newman University for the past 30 years. During my first 16 years at C-N, I managed the school’s computers and network. After this I transitioned to the Enterprise Systems group where I began managing the school’s administrative computing systems. Much of my work in this area involves supporting Ellucian Colleague and required integrations to a variety of external systems. I have provided all aspects of IT support over the years to students, faculty, staff, administrative offices, academic departments, and executive level leadership. Outside of my work at Carson-Newman, I served as IT Director for 10 years at Lakeway Christian Schools in Morristown, TN (formerly Cornerstone Academy, which was a K-12 classical Christian school). I also served as IT Director at Manley Baptist Church in Morristown, TN for 14 years. Beyond this, I support IT operations at several other Christian organizations.My knowledge of IT is broad and encompasses a wide spectrum of support tools and methods. I am quick to learn new software / systems and how to best meet the needs of the users I support. I am conscientious about working hard, working efficiently, doing quality work, and being responsible with tasks that are entrusted to me. I love to serve people and encourage them in the process.More important than my work, I love spending time with my wife and family.
