Operated drones to capture high-angle training footage and live coded matches in real time to provide clips at Half Time to enhance performance in the second half of matches. Utilised Angles and RT Tactic to code, analyse, and telestrate tactical trends, to be presented back to coaches and players. Contributed to pre-match, live, and post-match analysis workflows, ensuring high-quality work under tight turnarounds. Developed working relationships with technical staff, combining technology, analysis, and communication to support player and team development at international level.

ABOUT NATHAN HAND
I’m currently studying Sport Performance Analysis at Cardiff Metropolitan University, building on a foundation that began at the age of 16 when I first volunteered with Merthyr Town Football Club. My passion for using data and video footage to enhance team performance and player development continues to drive my academic and professional journey. Starting at a young age, I quickly gained hands-on experience with Merthyr Town, contributing with post match analysis, opposition tactical breakdowns, and individual performance reviews. My work played a key role in helping the team win the Southern League Premier South and secure promotion to Step 2, demonstrating the power of performance analysis insights in achieving success. My journey continued with the Football Association of Wales, where I have had the opportunity to film matches for the first team in their UEFA Nations League Campaign, contribute to the MU21’s analysis team aiding in the set up of match day equipment, and support the analyst on the U14 & U13 boys regional camps. This experience has allowed me to apply my skills at the highest level of football, further developing my abilities in match preparation, training analysis, and tactical strategy. I have since taken on an internship as the Boys U16s Analyst for the 2025/26 Season. I’m passionate about using data and video analysis to optimize performance, whether it’s evaluating individual players or supporting team strategies. As I continue my studies at Cardiff Metropolitan University, I’m eager to build on my practical experience and contribute to the sports industry with data-driven insights.
