Primarily responsible for leading the Health Information System (HIS) Project that includes real time Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and ePrescribing functionality, forming part of a five year performance improvement programme. • Report to IM & T Programme Manager; leading a team of four Project Managers and multiple Project Coordinators.• Support formal bidding process and facilitate the selection/assessment process for final two suppliers. • Generate detailed project plan aligned with PRINCE2/Agile and manage the merging of this deliverable with two external supplier plans. Handle all resource conflicts and identify all essential/non-essential functionality. • Safeguard key stakeholder engagement spanning various clinical resources and evolve existing ‘Staff Engagement Plan’ to formally identify 200+ Clinical Champions. Ensure full ownership and benefit realisation for HIS system. • Monitor and track key milestones and develop formal infrastructure framework. Embed robust governance structure across multiple projects including tracking of dependencies, escalation procedures and risk mitigation strategies. Successfully secured key stakeholders engagement and ownership for new HIS system from senior clinicians.• Established strong governance frameworks/consolidated project plan across NHS Trust and two external suppliers. • Succeeded in completing three out of the initial 11 critical milestones within just 18 months.
