ABOUT NATHALIE CORNIC
At ISSN International Centre, I coordinate a small team and bibliographic projects aiming at enhancing the metadata quality and the coverage of the ISSN international Register. I have co-managed the development of the revamped ISSN portal, and I accompany the ISSN national centres in handling this new portal and a new cataloguing tool. Identification and description data from the ISSN Register has been made available as linked data. This service is meant to foster the re-use, exchange and enrichment of ISSN data. I am involved in valorizing the open access publications included in the ISSN international Register, and I have become an open access advocate. I am particularly interested in the intersection of librarianship and publishing and the resulting role of libraries in both content dissemination and content creation. Previously, I managed digital audiovisual collections and platforms (from data processing to online valorization and dissemination) for French national institutions like Films Archives, France Television, the National Library (BnF) and the National Museum of Modern Art’s research library.
