About Nathalie Vieux-Gresham

I\'m a STEM Posse Scholar at Brandeis University, graduating in the class of 2023. I am pursuing a B.S/M.S in Neuroscience. I am interested in understanding neurological systems from a biological, computational, and psychological lens, and I intend to continue multidisciplined studies in my graduate education. I intend to pursue a position as a clinical research coordinator or clinical research assistant in my gap years before medical school. At Brandeis University, I am an undergraduate researcher in the Birren Lab, where I study the impacts of satellite glia on sympathetic neuronal plasticity in the peripheral nervous system. I am also a peer health educator under Brandeis\'s Bridge to Wellness, a student-led organization under Brandeis\'s Health and Wellness Promotion Office. I am also a Community Advisor and a Neuroscience Department Representative. During the summer of 2020, I served as a student representative under the COVID Task Force, which was dedicated to creating a robust pedagogical approach to the upcoming virtual school year.Outside of Brandeis University, I am a Co-Founder, Core Team member, and an SAT Math coach under UniVirtual Learning, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing college preparatory courses and guidance to a diverse community of high school students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds who are in pursuit of higher education. Moreover, I am an alumni mentor for Clear Direction Mentoring (CDM), an organization that aims to provide immersive experiences and mentorship in the STEM fields for underrepresented minority and disadvantaged high school students.
