About Nate Clair

Nate serves as Chair of Jackson Walker\'s IP practice group. He is a nationally recognized litigator and counselor, with over two decades of experience in defending and counseling clients in a wide range of legal matters, including IP litigation and portfolio management. Nate has secured multiple major patent appellate victories in IP litigations, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His practice is focused in the areas of IP litigation, IP licensing and portfolio management, infringement investigations, and general IP counseling, particularly in the electrical and mechanical arts. His experience also includes counseling clients regarding patent and trademark procurement before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, in addition to providing strategic counsel to various clients regarding sports and entertainment law matters, including branding, publishing, endorsements, corporate sponsorships, and broadcasting.Nate received a B.S. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and a J.D. from Marquette University Law School. He is admitted to the Texas, Illinois, and Wisconsin Supreme Court bars and several federal district courts, and he is registered to praice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Specialties: Having extensive experience in several technical areas, Nathaniel has counseled clients on numerous technology areas, including: automotive and consumer electronics, avionics, computing devices, data networks, digital imaging, electromagnetics, financial services products, medical devices, optics, power distribution, semiconductor devices, signal processing, software, telecommunications, wireless devices, and many other technologies.
