   Reports directly to the University President and leads university-wide strategic initiatives. Responsible for Drake\'s community & neighborhood relations, manages Drake’s campus bookstore, facilitates strategic planning, drives innovation, resolves issues, and leads multiple communication initiatives. Currently serves as Interim Executive Director of The Harkin Institute and manages a staff of eight. Through this leadership, facilitated creating a strategic plan, developed an annual budget, and helped implement many aspects of organizational effectiveness. Other activities include addressing strategic opportunities while serving as a utility player to meet a variety of needs. Directly responsible for several budgets totaling over $2.3 million. Coordinates with university communications on media relations. Implemented new budgeting and forecasting process across the university. Accomplishments include cultivating a partnership with Broadlawns to build a new health clinic, fostering economic growth of the Drake Neighborhood, assisting in the creation of a new unit for online course delivery, cultivating key partnerships, leading organizational change in many areas, facilitating the establishment of university-wide core values, and much more.
