About Nate Brown
Before I was a founder or educator, I was a student-athlete chasing a dream — believing that sports would be my pathway forward. I earned scholarships and accolades, but behind the scenes, my journey was marked by instability, mismanagement, and loss. I was falsely accused in high school, lost hard-earned opportunities, watched coaches walk away from commitments, and transferred multiple times in college before a career-ending injury ended it all. My identity collapsed, and with no support system to catch me, I hit rock bottom — ultimately landing on suicide watch.What nearly broke me wasn’t just the injury — it was the absence of structure around the game: no mentors, no continuity, no roadmap for recovery. That pain exposed a hard truth: too many young athletes are built to perform but not supported to heal, lead, or grow.That moment gave me clarity. I founded 5A Elite Youth Empowerment to build what I never had — not another youth program, but a trauma-informed, student-led infrastructure designed to embed real systems of support into the daily rhythm of schools and communities.At the core is our Civic Campus model, which integrates six flagship systems:• Academic ExtraPoint – GPA coaching, executive function, NCAA readiness• HealthySeeds – SEL routines, wellness systems, caregiver engagement• Coach For Life – Trauma-informed coach certification + mentorship pipelines• OverTime – NIL literacy, career exposure, sport entrepreneurship• ZeroGround – K–6 sport development + movement-based SEL• ALI – Peer-led advocacy, civic storytelling, SAAC leadership labsWe build ecosystems that align school-day learning, OST programming, and long-term community transformation — all anchored in the leadership of coaches and student-athletes.I\'m always open to connecting with partners, educators, funders, or anyone committed to building systems that actually work for
