The Co-Chief of the service is responsible for administrative duties and oversight of daily operations and training as well as facilitating the accomplishment of the long-term goals of Bates EMS. In addition to administrative roles, we respond as the supervisor of the 2-3 person shift to all campus emergencies.Bates EMS provides 24/7 emergency care for the Bates College community while students are on campus. BEMS is a Maine licensed Basic Life Support service, and works closely with our transporting partner, United Ambulance Service, to ensure high quality patient care.
