Project Kuiper Space Simulation Specialist The Space Simulation Specialist is a technical role within Amazon’s Project Kuiper, dedicated to advancing satellite technology for low Earth orbit (LEO) deployment. This role involves setting up and operating specialized simulation equipment to replicate the extreme conditions of space, including vacuum, thermal variations, and radiation. The technician ensures that satellite components and systems undergo rigorous testing in a controlled environment to verify functionality, durability, and reliability for optimal performance post-launch. Space Simulation Specialist Responsibilities • Operating Simulation Chambers: Set up and manage environmental chambers that replicate space conditions, including vacuum, temperature extremes, and radiation, to test satellite hardware. • Data Collection and Analysis: Monitor test parameters, record comprehensive data, and analyze results to identify issues or areas for enhancement. • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and address malfunctions during testing, performing necessary repairs or adjustments to maintain smooth operations. • Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Partner with engineers to design, execute, and refine test plans, interpret data, and solve technical challenges. • Maintaining Test Equipment: Conduct regular maintenance, calibration, and inspection of simulation equipment to ensure reliability and precision. • Documentation and Reporting: Produce detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and anomalies for internal review and external reporting as needed.Qualifications as follows :Integration with satellite Avionic flight computers, Lithium batteries installation, HiPot machine, PCBA installation, TimBot application, Alice Copco Torque drivers, Propulsion systems, crane certified, oscilloscopes, Fiberscope, fiber splice, fiber optic cleaning, JTAG, component installations, Loctite application, DP 100 application, laser lens installation, UV curing, oATP & AHITL testing. Also in the know with Timer IC, Thermal Couplers, and inducers
