About Nate Jensen

Nate is currently the Financial Systems Manager at Samsara. He is a member of the Finance & Strategy team, and manages Workday Adaptive Planning. In 2025, he led a reimplementation of Workday Adaptive Planning that resulted in a 99% reduction in the number of required computations in the model, and significant improvement in instance performance. He currently leads the Workday Adaptive Planning Center of Excellence, and is working to drive increased Adaptive adoption across the F&S team - specifically with new AI features. Prior to Samsara, Nate managed Workday Adaptive Planning at MissionCloud (Mission), an AWS Cloud & AI Services & Software Company (acquired by CDW). He lead the FP & A function\'s transition as it moved its forecasting model and recurring reporting out of Microsoft Excel and into Workday Adaptive Planning and Office Connect. He lead the Implementation of Adaptive and continuous build out of Mission\'s financial model in Workday Adaptive Planning. He also lead the build out of the Business Intelligence function. Prior to Mission Cloud Services, Nate led the implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning at Trucordia. He was also a Senior Financial Analyst at Cotiviti, a healthcare analytics company where he managed consolidated reporting of financial results, assisted with Workday Adaptive Planning Administration, and supported the treasury and investor relations functions. Previously, Nate worked in consulting with Protiviti\'s Internal Audit & Financial Advisory and Risk & Compliance practices, and as an Internal Audit Manager at Academy Mortgage Corporation (acquired by Guild Mortgage).Nate is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Nathan received a bachelor’s degree in accounting in a year where Brigham Young’s undergraduate accounting program was ranked third in the nation. In 2023, Nathan earned his Master of Business Analytics from the University of Utah. In 2012, Nate spent five months volunteering as an English teacher in China. He enjoys traveling, and has been on adventures through China, Southeast Asia, Central America, India, Philippines, and the Dominican Republic.
