    Leads NOAA’s land cover mapping activities and ensures coordination (and the identification of any possible leverage opportunities) with state, local, and other federal agencies through direct partnerships and representation on the interagency Multi-Resolution Land Characteristics (MRLC) Consortium. Responsible for implementation of NOAA’s Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) vision, ensuring multiple product line quality assurance, and ongoing operations; including contributions to the FGDC A-16 Land Cover theme. Provides oversight of on-site contract staff, as well as the award and management of multiple contract task orders with several external private firms. Land cover mapping has been performed at multiple resolutions and with various airborne and satellite sensors. Experienced in translating and communicating difficult technical concepts to non-technical constituents and partners, and making the result of geospatial data available to the non-technical as meaningful and useful information. Modeled the potential impacts of future Sea Level Rise to coastal wetlands as part of Sea Level Rise impact models.Key products/projects to which I was a key contributor included: Coastal Change Analysis Program monitoring, High Resolution C-CAP land cover mapping, the online Land Cover Atlas, land cover change summary reports, the Coastal Flooding and Sea Level Rise Impact Viewer, and NOAA’s Digital Coast.
